Class 1 – Tazkiya (Essentials)

Here is the first class delivered by Shaykh Riad Saloojee in the Essentials Program for 2025.  It is the first class of the module on the Purification of the Self.

This course introduces the Science of the Purification of the Self (Tazkiyat al-Nafs). It covers why purification of the self is essential to seeking the Divine, its place within Islam, select core principles of the science and a practical emphasis on the means to the self’s purification. 

The module on the Purification of the Self is the first module of eight modules covered ever year in Essentials and the Suhba Seminary Program.
